The adoption of social media by financial professionals for use in networking and sharing client focused information is on the rise across the globe and is predicted to grow by over 800% in the next three years. It has for some organisations already become an important part of business development yet only around 15% of financial institutions actively promote this form of communication. Friends Reinvested are building a community where private investors can interact with industry professionals and indeed where those within the investment industry can share their own views. This is by no means an attempt to replace the more technical websites we rely so much upon every day to provide up to the minute data and market information, our aim is simply to build a large network of like minded people with an emphasis on finance and investment. There are many different forms of investment outwith the financial markets themselves and some are becoming increasingly recognised as important and useful elements of saving for our futures. To this end, Friends Reinvested have included forum topics covering areas such as art, fine wine, classic cars and antiques. Of course investing doesn’t stop with the tradable assets we would like to make a return on, charities for example are an investment in the well being of others less fortunate and whether it be humanitarian aid, infrastructure or education in a third world country, this should play an extremely important part in the redistribution of our wealth. Education is after all one of the most important investments one can make in a lifetime. Throughout the year Friends Reinvested are, in cooperation with some of our many partners, giving away prizes such as cases of wine, luxury hampers and tickets to some major sporting events. For example partners Sunseeker International will be running a competition to win VIP hospitality tickets for the Southampton boat-show where they will debut their new 40m super-yacht.
